• books or manuscripts

• case studies or teaching materials

This prohibition applies even if identifying details are altered.

No part of your therapeutic content may be used for creative, personal, or financial gain.

Exceptions require:

• your explicit, voluntary, written informed consent, and
• your ongoing right to withdraw consent at any time

Your autonomy and sovereignty over your story are protected.

5. Therapist Privacy & Cultural Boundaries

Just as clients hold a right to privacy, the therapist also holds personal and cultural privacy rights.

As a Māori practitioner, Paulette (Lette) Jewell recognises elements of whakapapa, wairua, tikanga, story, and identity as tapu and not for public or client use.

Clients agree to:

• respect the therapist’s cultural, professional, and personal boundaries
• not seek, record, reproduce, or distribute personal or cultural information about the therapist
• not use the therapist’s heritage, identity, or likeness in any personal or creative context
• not record sessions without explicit written consent

These boundaries protect the safety, dignity, and cultural integrity of both client and practitioner.

6. Confidentiality & When Information May Be Shared

Everything shared in therapy remains confidential except when disclosure is legally required, including:

• serious or imminent risk of harm to self or others
• concerns related to child safety or mandatory reporting
• subpoena, court order, or lawful request
• circumstances where disclosure is required to prevent a significant threat to life or health

Whenever possible, disclosures will be discussed with you beforehand.

Your information is never shared for creative, academic, or public use.

7. Storage & Security of Information

Your records are stored securely using encrypted systems such as Cliniko, and/or locked physical files.
Access is restricted to authorised practitioners bound by strict confidentiality requirements.

We take all reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.

You may request access to your personal information at any time via written request.
A small administrative fee may apply.

Access may be limited only when:

By engaging in services with CMT, you agree that:

• you remain fully responsible for your own body, wellbeing, and safety at all times
• therapeutic work does not replace medical treatment or emergency care
• you are responsible for managing your physical and emotional responses before, during, and after sessions
CMT and Paulette (Lette) Jewell accept no responsibility for medical or physical outcomes, adverse reactions, or effects occurring at any time, including in perpetuity, except where required by law

You must seek appropriate medical or psychiatric support for:

• new or worsening symptoms
• medication queries
• health changes affecting participation

10.2 No Medical, Psychiatric, or Crisis Services Provided

CMT does not provide:

• medical treatment
• psychiatric diagnosis
• crisis intervention
• emergency services

You agree to maintain your own medical and mental health care with appropriate professionals.

10.3 Duty to Disclose Relevant Health Information

You agree to inform the practitioner of any:

• physical or neurological conditions
• changes in mental health diagnoses
• medication changes
• safety risks affecting your wellbeing or the therapeutic process

This supports safe practice but does not transfer responsibility to the therapist.

10.4 No Guarantees of Outcome

Therapeutic outcomes vary for each person.
CMT does not guarantee results relating to:

• emotional changes
• symptom reduction
• behavioural change
• relationship improvements
• long-term effects

10.5 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Victorian law:

• CMT and Paulette (Lette) Jewell are not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, physical, psychological, relational, or financial harm arising from your participation in therapy
• Your participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk
• Limitation of liability applies in perpetuity, except where prohibited by law

10.6 Indemnity Clause

By engaging in therapy, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless CMT and Paulette (Lette) Jewell against any claims, demands, actions, losses, or costs arising from:

• your participation in therapy
• your physical or emotional responses
• your chosen actions during or after therapy
• failure to maintain appropriate healthcare
• omissions or inaccuracies in the information you provide

Therapy may bring up difficult emotions or memories.
You may request breaks, grounding techniques, slower pacing, or modifications at any time.

Your practitioner will support you with care, respect, and cultural sensitivity.

14. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property created by Paulette (Lette) Jewell, including:

• therapeutic methods
• written materials

• session tools or processes

remains the property of the practitioner.

Clients may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify these materials without consent.

Client stories are never used publicly.

15. Email & Communication

Your email and contact information will only be used for therapy-related communication:

• appointment reminders
• invoicing
• essential follow-up communication

Your details will not be used for marketing without written consent.
