Connected Minds Therapies

Lette Jewell Psychotherapy, a sole trader, runs Connected Minds Therapies. Our professional counsellors offer services from Melbourne, Victoria. We provide online and face-to-face counselling for individuals and couples. Fees apply and are listed on our website for people in Australia and New Zealand.

Our support is based on the information you gave us. While we aim to help with your concerns, you can decide how useful this is.

Our services do not replace advice from your own health professionals. This site does not offer medical advice or diagnosis, and we are not responsible for any harm or loss caused by the information provided.

Privacy and Security

Connected Minds Therapies operates in accordance with Australian and New Zealand legal requirements and Privacy and Information Management standards. These frameworks are intended to safeguard access to and use of your information.

Confidentiality

When using Connected Minds Therapies, your personal information is kept confidential. We won’t be able to share your information with any other organisation without your express permission, except where we are required to do so under law.

This may apply in circumstances where we have a 'duty of care'; that is, when you are at serious risk of harming yourself, harming someone else, or there is a child protection concern.

De-identified transcripts and demographic data may be used for clinical supervision or to evaluate the services provided by Connected Minds Therapies.

Service Agreement

This Service Agreement contains important information about the professional services and business policies relevant to our counselling services.

You must read, understand, and agree to this Service Agreement before seeing Connected Minds Therapies, which trades as Lette Jewell Psychotherapy and Counselling. 

Respectful Conduct Policy

To maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment, all clients—current and prospective—are expected to engage with the counsellor and any practice staff respectfully and appropriately at all times.

The following behaviours will not be tolerated under any circumstances:

  • Verbal abuse, including yelling, swearing, or aggressive language

  • Sexualised language, gestures, or behaviour of any kind

  • Threats, intimidation, or harassment (including discriminatory or defamatory remarks)

  • Physical aggression, violence, or any behaviour that may cause harm or fear

  • Repeated disrespect of boundaries or refusal to engage appropriately in the therapeutic process

  • Any actions that compromise the safety or well-being of the counsellor, staff, or other clients

Any client who engages in such behaviour will be immediately discharged from the counselling service and referred to a more suitable psychiatric or clinical care setting. This policy is in place to ensure the practice's safety, integrity, and therapeutic effectiveness for all involved.

Psychotherapy & Counselling Session Outcomes

1️⃣ Initial Sessions:

Establish client concerns and background, and determine the client’s counselling expectations.

2️⃣Sessions 5+

Work towards overcoming client concerns. Apply counselling strategies to identify and challenge personal difficulties. 

3️⃣Sessions 10+ and beyond:

Continued monitoring and adjustment of the counselling approach. We could talk about the continuation or termination of counselling, depending on how you’re doing.

Hypnotherapy Sessions

1️⃣ Initial Consultation (Session 1-2)

Purpose: To understand you and set a clear direction.

2️⃣ Working Phase (Sessions up to 5+)

Purpose: To create change and develop new patterns.

3️⃣ Ongoing Phase (Session 10+)

Purpose: To support long-term stability and integration.

Psychotherapy & Counselling Session Fees

  • Initial Consultations
    50–65 minutes | Higher rate applies
    (For individuals, poly/relationship work, Mob/Kin/Whānau sessions)

  • Standard Sessions

    • Individual Therapy: Standard rate

    • Relationship/Family Counselling: Additional one-on-one sessions may be recommended at standard rates

    • Group Sessions (3+ participants): Additional $90 per person

Payment

  • A Standard Deposit is required to secure your session

  • The remaining balance payable after the session, once the invoice is received

  • Payments accepted via credit card or online debit card

Cancellation Policy

Our Practice Asks due to the time of year and for the safety and well-being of all clients. Please give our practice at least 96 hours’ ( 4-days minimum) notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations will result in forfeiture of the session, or your deposit will be retained to cover costs and missed bookings.

Fees & Payment

For clients new to Connected Minds Therapies, Counsellor/Somatic Psychotherapist - Lette Jewell

The fee for the first consultation is higher due to the time spent per session: 50-65 minutes (this includes Individuals, Poly-Relationships, and all relationships, as well as Mob/Kin/Whanau (Family).

When dealing with all relationships counselling, including Kin/Family, individuals often require individual sessions to discuss their desired outcome (s). Fees are standard.

However, when more than two people join the session, Charges of $90 per person apply.

In-person and online Sessions will be paid for in advance using a major credit card or an online debit card, invoiced after the session, at 50% of the session cost or the full session cost, depending on the payment method used.

Phone calls to the counsellor from clients or other potential clients calls

  • All calls on weekends or during a holiday period will be charged at $90.

  • Calls with the psychotherapist/counsellor longer than 15 minutes are charged.

  • If the counsellor/psychotherapist is called outside a session, calls outside sessions over 16-20 minutes cost $45.

  • Calls longer than 20-30 minutes will be charged as a full session at $90.

  • The counsellor will let you know during the call. These charges apply only when you request a callback.

  • Check-in calls or calls for discovery calls to potential clients are free within 15 minutes only.

Terms and Conditions.

I want you to know that you are solely responsible for any content or material you post or upload during online or face-to-face sessions, or for any content posted by another person using your username or password.

Connected Minds Therapies excludes all liability (to the extent permitted by law) for any loss, damage, or expenses suffered by you or claims made against you arising from content or material you post or upload during the online or face-to-face sessions or posted by another person.

Connected Minds Therapies Online or Face-to-Face Sessions

Users of online or face-to-face sessions must at all times abide by the language and behaviour standards outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

Users must not post, transmit or complete any content that is inappropriate, offensive, or contrary to any applicable laws or standards.

This includes, without limitation, material which:

  • No sessions are to be recorded by the client without the express permission of the counsellor.

  • is obscene or indecent or depicts violence, sexual activity, or pornography;

  • defames, harasses, menaces, threatens, abuses, offends, or embarrasses any person or group of people;

  • infringes the copyright, moral rights, confidentiality rights, or intellectual property rights of any person or organisation;

  • infringes any of our rights or the rights of any third person (including privacy rights);

  • breaches any laws, regulations, standards, or codes as enacted, modified, or updated from time to time;

  • impersonates any person or suggests a connection to a group or organisation which is misleading;

  • advocates the use of force or violence towards any person or group of people;

  • incites swearing, violence, hatred based on race, religion, gender, nationality, sexuality, or other personal characteristics;

  • encourages, endorses, solicits, approves, or recommends the performance of dangerous or illegal acts; or

  • contains a virus or other code that has harmful or destructive properties.

Connected Minds Therapies may, at any time and without notice to you, access, filter, remove, amend, or refuse to post files, content, or other material which it considers in its sole discretion to be a breach of these.

Your Safety

Some people using online or face-to-face sessions may be suffering from depression, anxiety, or related conditions. Some will be experiencing suicidal thoughts. For everyone's health, well-being, and safety, we do not publish comments that express explicit suicidal thoughts or feelings.

If you are feeling unsafe or believe there is any chance that you may harm yourself in any way, we strongly encourage you to:

  • call the Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467, Lifeline on 13 11 14, or another emergency counselling service;

  • call your doctor or

  • Make arrangements to attend a hospital as soon as possible.

Intellectual Property

Connected Minds Therapies may, at its discretion, access, monitor, and review all content or material you submit during the online or face-to-face sessions.

For your protection, please understand that by participating in the sessions, you accept full responsibility for making sure that your intellectual rights in shared material are not lost or diminished.

Connected Minds Therapies does not warrant that any material you contribute will be protected against loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties.

By participating in the sessions, you grant Connected Minds Therapies a perpetual, royalty-free, fee-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide licence (with a right to sub-license to our authorised nominees) to use, modify, copy, distribute, transmit, reproduce, publish, display, and broadcast any of that material on this site as well as in any promotional or communication activities of Connected Minds Therapies conducted in Australia or overseas.

Confidentiality and Privacy

Connected Minds Therapies will take reasonable steps to ensure the security and confidentiality of any material you post or upload during online or face-to-face sessions. However, Connected Minds Therapies cannot guarantee that such material will be protected against loss, damage, alteration, or misuse.

Your Email Address

Connected Minds Therapies will only record your email address if you send us an email or register for regular assistance. Your email address will only be used for the purpose you gave us, including contact in response to session activity as listed in the Terms and Conditions.

Your email address won’t be added to any mailing lists without your prior consent by way of a specific request in writing.

Without your written consent, we won’t be able to use or disclose your email address for any other purpose.
