About Lette Jewell (she/they)
Counsellor • Psychotherapist • Somatic Practitioner
Kia ora/Wominjeka – I’m Lette, a psychotherapist and counsellor of mixed Māori (Ngāti Ranginui and Maniapoto) and European heritage. I support individuals navigating deep emotional wounds, life transitions, and trauma, offering a compassionate, body-centred approach to healing.
My personal experiences — including surviving family violence, sexual assault, and growing up in a fundamentalist faith — have shaped my understanding of healing as a non-linear journey. I believe that the body holds memories the mind may not, and that true healing happens in relationship, through safety, presence, and respect.
With over a decade of experience in counselling and psychotherapy, and a background in hypnotherapy, coaching, leadership, and adult education, my work is grounded in inclusivity, cultural awareness, and trauma-informed care. For the past five years, I’ve specialised in somatic psychotherapy, drawing on polyvagal theory to help regulate the nervous system and reconnect the body to its innate wisdom.
As a Two-Spirit, Takatāpui, and LGBTQIA+ individual, I am dedicated to creating safe and affirming spaces for people of all identities and backgrounds. My practice is rooted in Indigenous values and anti-oppressive frameworks.
I am proud to be married into an Aboriginal family with Dharug and Gamilaroi ancestry. This connection deepens my respect for First Nations knowledge and strengthens my commitment to culturally sensitive care.

Scooter Pronouns- He/ Him
Office Manager- Boss
Scooter is a cherished 17-year-old Bichon Frise and Cavalier mix, making him about
112 in human years. Despite being blind and hard of hearing, Scooter remains a beloved, gentle soul with a loving and watchful personality. While his days now include plenty of naps—and the occasional bout of barking at nothing in particular—he is still an essential part of the team, managing things from home with his playful “taskmaster” spirit.
Though he doesn’t join client sessions, he ensures his family stays on track, often letting them know when it's time to work a few extra hours! Scooter’s charm lies in his affectionate nature; he’s always ready for cuddles when he wants them, offering warmth and comfort to everyone lucky enough to know him.
